Book Author Challenge Day 21 : Newest Author read in 2018

Hi Dear friends,

Today I’ll get to gush again about a new author that I’ve read some weeks ago.

I’ve already explained to you how I met Kate Sterritt at RARE London. It was really unplanned. I had never read her books but while waiting in the long queue outside the building, my friend Jennifer told me that I just had to read Love My Way!

That’s how I met Kate.

She was not shocked to have someone who had never read her books and she was just really welcoming and charming!

Love My Way has been a revelation!

It’s not what you think at all.

And Kate took a huge risk writing the book in such a way. But she told me that she just had to write it “her way”.

It tells me that she is a person true to her belief. That she will follow her heart and her guts. That she won’t compromise or write some easy romance one day just because it’s hype or to gather many readers.

It tells me that she is real.

And that’s priceless and admirable.

Kudos to you Kate!

Here are some of my favorite quotes:

“Never let your light die because it’s going to brighten more than just my world.”
Kate Sterritt, Love My Way

“He was my compass and, with him by my side, I would never be lost again.”
Kate Sterritt, Love My Way
“For a minute or a lifetime, some people try to clip your wings, while others help you learn to fly.”
Kate Sterritt, Love My Way

Now who is your newest read in 2018 author?

Thanks for reading again!

Sophie

  1. This is awesome. She sounds like a super nice person. The newest author I’ve read is Shea Ernshaw (The Wicked Deep is the title). I’m actually reading her book right now.

  2. Great post! Kate sounds awesome 😀

My newest read author that I finished was Tanya Huff (I read The Fire’s Stone and LOVED it) but I am currently reading Nevernight by Jay Kristoff and My Sister’s Intended by Rachael Anderson, both of which are new-to-me authors.
