Today is Sunday, time to look back in the rearview mirror and talk about my week in and out of the blog. As usual I am linking up to the Sunday Post hosted for years by Kimberly @caffeinatedreviewer .
First let me say that this will be an abridged version of my usual Sunday Post as it’s very late here!!!
In my private life
Today was the first time since months that we got to meet with friends!
We invited them for tea time on the condition that the weather had to be sunny and warm to host them outside with the proper social distance. And the weather was perfect!
So we spent a delightful afternoon seeing each other and catching up.
It was just weird to greet them without hug or kiss nor even handshake. It feels …awkward. But you’ve got to do what’s necessarey for everyone’s health!
I am still homeworking for one more week and then, I have a week off. The plan is to go back to the office some days of the week every two weeks right after but we’ll see as the schools have reopened now and we fear another COVID wave.
This week I got an excellent news for the future of one of my kids. I can’t give more details let’s just say that it was something awaited for years and 2020 did owed us that at least!
My daughter will be back from Bretagne (in France) by the end of next week and will have to get tested for COVID (what with the orange zone there). It will be a transition weekend as she’ll be back in her dorm and begin the new year at uni on Monday. Not knowing if she is positive to COVID or not, I foresee a strange dance of us wearing mask within the house, me sanitizing the door handles and the bathroom until she is moved into her dorm.

This month has been an excellent reading month! Only 9 books but so many excellent ones and I have what will be my best read of 2020 (maybe even the best read for next year).
So this month’s winners are:
Shadow of Night and The Book of Life by Deborah Harkness (both 5 stars)
And the best book I have read this year is The House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune (a delight!)
I haven’t been consistent with blogging. I post a lot at the beginning of the week until Thursday then I have this “hole” at the end of the week. I made peace with this as I am very active on Instagram, make custom funko pops and also, just wanted to read a lot more.
As this is a hobby and not my job, I dictate what happens here and I’d better be happy with it (Do you hear me guilt? No more! 😀 )
That’s it for this week! Sorry hopefully more next week but I am not even sure as I’ll have a mad weekend of moving the kids back to uni!
I will now go visit as many blogs as I can before going to bed! Have a wonderful week.
Thanks for reading
