My best books of all time! Top X Tuesday

Hi dear friends,

Today on Top 5 Tuesday Shanah @bionicbookworm asked us top post out Top 10 best books of all time!

Even if she gave us some slack this week with twice more books than usual it’s not enough for me LOL

As I am dead tired I will goe straight to the point and just give you the cover with one or a few words as to why they are MY best books of all time!

The Scorpio Race by Maggie Stiefvater: YA fantasy and it has a MOOD!

Beartown by Fredrik Backman: Adult contemporary: because the book is just superb and character driven.

Skyward by Brandon Sanderson : YA science fiction. It was so fantastic that I listened to the end of the book hidden in my garden after some errant that I had to do.

Mists of the Serengeti by Leylah Attar: Adult contemporary romance: because it was grand and epic!

I’ll Meet You There by Heather Demetrios: YA contemporary: because it was real, compelling and should be better known!

A Charm of Finches by Suanne Laqueur: LGBTQ adult: because I’ve said it many many times it’s a destroyer of the soul!

Forever Right Now by Emma Scott: Adult romance: because it’s been an endless emotional onslaught…

Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens: Adult contemporary: because this is a story of courage, strength, brutality and hope.

Salt to the Sea by Ruta Sepetys: YA historical fiction: because I can’t convey with enough strength and conviction all the beauty, the intensity, the sadness, the cruelty, the desperation of this formidable story.

Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma: YA contemporary: because years after it still haunts me and I dream of another ending.

From Sand and Ashes by Amy Harmon: Adult historical fiction: because this book made me feel so much: agony, rejection, despair, anger, resignation and constant fear.

The City of Brass (and the Kingdom of Copper) by SA Chakraborty: YA fantasy: because this is a fabulous and lush tale filled with political scheming, betrayals, hidden agendas, fabulous and deadly creatures, magic and hot Daeva.

One Day Soon by A. Meredith Walters: Adult contemporary: because Yossarian stole my heart forever! Such a pure soul!

Beneath a Scarlet Sky by Mark T Sullivan: Adult historical non fiction: because I hope to never live these times that my parents, grand-parents and great grand-parents knew because I doubt that I will be as honorable and courageous as Pino Lella, Milanese of 18 years and war hero.

And of course I should mention Harry Potter and all the Cassandra Clare, Sarah J Maas and Holy Black books but I already chose 14 instead of 10 so … 😀

Pfew that’s it!

Do we have some in common? What are yours?

Thanks for reading!

Sophie
