My best reads of September and what I’ve been up to last week. The Sunday Post 10/03/2021

Today is Sunday time to look back in the rearview mirror and talk about my week . I am linking up to the Sunday Post hosted for years by Kimberly@caffeinatedreviewer .

As we are at the beginning of October, I am doubling it with a monthly wrap-up.

In my private life

Not many things to say except that on Tuesday, I went back to the office with my whole two teams!

It was the first time in 18 months that we were all attending at the same time.

One colleague even came back for the first time and he was a little bit shaky as he is fighting panic attacks at the moment. Taking the train, being in a closed room with a mask on his mouth didn’t help.

But he did i!!

One of my young colleagues is leaving us to work as a commercial and we all wanted to wish her farewell.

That aside nothing much to say. It was just work and it was so intense that I didn’t eve had time to blog hop past Tuesday! I just fell asleep as soon as I could. The shorter days accompanying Fall don’t help I guess.

I am leaving you with two reels this week: one showcasing special editions that I recently got (I get better at transitions).

The second is me showing my October TBR while trying the famous “change your clothes” challenge. It took me some trial and error but I think I managed 😆

In September I have read 11 books, one of them being the mammoth Empire of the Vampire! So I think I did good!

And narrowing down  to my favorites will be very hard as most were amazing!!

First comes The Black Witch Chronicles series by Laurie Forest! I have read the three published books and I need more!

Then an amazing standalone Mary Jane by Jessica Anya Blau. It was a 6 stars!

Last but not least, the phenomenal new series of Jay Kristoff: Empire of the Vampire! I gave it 6 stars!!

But I could add The Gilded Cage by Lynette Noni, The Plated Prisoner series, the… 😉

There is only one expected book that fell short and that I didn’t review here: Daughter of Sparta.

Thanks for reading!

  1. Yeah I’m happy not to have to go to an office and my daughter chose online classes yet this fall. Robin also loved The Empire of the Vampire.

Anne – Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post

  2. I feel for your colleague having the panic attacks. I am definitely less comfortable around people and in enclosed spaces these days. It’s a different world it seems. I can’t go see your IG reels as Instagram is down right now (along with Facebook). I’ll have to check them out later when IG is back running. 🙂

    1. I know IG being down that felt so weird!! :-)))

  3. Wow 11 books is amazing!!! I’ve only been back to the office once and it made my sciatica worse but am going back in soon for the day to try out a new special desk!!!

    1. I hope the special desk will help Caro!

  4. I have EotV sitting on my desk – had it preordered for months – but have no idea when I can get to it. I seriously need more hours in the day.

    1. I totally get the need to have more hours in the day!

  5. Wow-18 months away. I would certainly have panic attacks! I can’t imagine trying to go back to something after 18 months. Have a great week!

    1. Thank you Samantha ! You too!

  6. That’s a lot of books in September! And aww good luck to your co- worker dealing with the anxiety!

    1. Thank you Greg!

  7. I have no idea how long it will be until my whole team is in office. It was wild seeing my co-workers and riding the train again after so long. I can understand a bit of anxiety around that.
