Friday Face-Off : feeling like the bunny in Alice’s story bacause…it’s about time!

Hi friends,

Friday Face-Off is a weekly meme created by Books by Proxy! This is a great opportunity to feature some of your favourite book covers.   Each Friday, we will pit cover against cover and choose our favorite. If you want to join the fun, choose a book each Friday that fits that week’s predetermined theme. Compare two or more different covers available for that book, and pick your favorite. A list of future weeks’ themes are available at Lynn’s Book Blog. Easy right?

This week’s theme: Time

When I saw today’s theme (early this morning thanks to Mogsy @bibliosanctum living on the other side of the planet from me so …ahead of me 😀  ) I just KNEW what book I wanted to feature!

Time’s Convert by Deborah Harkness

I am listening to A Discovery of Witches and I am just in love with her stories so it was a no brainer!

OK, let’s see all the covers!

Viking 2018

Headline 2018

Litera 2019

Boekerij 2019

Blanvalet 2019

Center Point 2019

And my winner is …

What book would you choose?

Thanks for reading!

  1. Excellent choice! I like the Viking cover’s tones a bit more though! 😮

    1. I know! And thanks for your endorsement LOL

  2. I agree with your choice. It’s the most attention grabbing one of the ones you listed with the bright red colors and how the time element really is obvious due to the clocks. I like when the title and cover match in that way. I also like the Blanvalet version, I think that’s the German version. The simple design with the title grabbing center stage and the flowers makes for a pretty cover.

    1. Thank you Lola!

  3. I agree. That is the best of the covers. The Centerpoint 2019 is not terrible, but I don’t like the ones with the people at all.

    1. Me neither Sam! They are kind of ugly …

The Litera cover is kind of a dud, but I actually like all of the others!

    1. Bwahaha a dud! My thoughts exactly Tanya!

  5. Ooh, they’re all very strong. I would say either yours or the Viking 2018, they’re both so pretty I can’t really choose between them 😀

    1. Itwas close to a tie Mogsy!

  6. I like the red, too. Great choice!

      1. You’re welcome!

  7. Some of those look really cool and make you want to read the book, while others are baffling. Great choice, Sweetie.

    1. Thank you Alex!

    1. It was a close second Corina!
